Do You Believe in Palm Reading?

Posted in Health, Love, Luck, Sex, career and family on June 27, 2008 by zethrock

Last Tuesday Me and my friend (Kumpadre) went to a snack bar and after eating there we saw a some sort of fun corner and there, there was a machine called La Bocca Della Verita, a machine where you will place your hand inside the hole and presto!, it will read the meaning of your palm. We have fun with each other while reading the result listed in a piece of paper. I don’t know if it is true, but what i believe is ” We are the one who choose our destiny “.
Here’s what is written:
You sometimes allow yourself to be influenced by others;
You could be seriously dissapointed by rash ventures;
Personal hygiene and cleanliness are extremely important to you;
You tent to put the people you love on a pedestal and naturally you don’t expect them over to step down;
As long as you can achieve your ambitions you don’t care about anyone else’s feelings;
Love will bring you more advantages, your kindness will open many doors.

Posted in "Typhoon Franck" on June 22, 2008 by zethrock

–(UPDATE) Typhoon Frank (international code name: Fengshen) has maintained its strength and its eye was located 90 kilometers southeast of Metro Manila (13.9°N 121.5°E) in the latest bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the state weather bureau. In its 5 a.m. update, Pagasa said Frank was forecast to move north northwest at 15 kilometers per hour and had maximum winds of 120 kph and gustiness of up to 150 kph.

As of last night, rains kept pouring on, our electricity was cut-off due to strong winds. Automatically, when we have no electricity here we have no water. So when we woke-up this morning, ugh! we have no extra water in the comfort room, for dishwashing, for taking a bath…the solution….MAG-IGIB!!!

Calamba City is a first class city in the province of Laguna, Philippines. Situated only 54 kilometers south of Manila, about an hour by chartered bus, Calamba City is a popular tourist destination with its hot spring resorts, most of which are located in Barangay Pansol, and the Canlubang Golf and Country Club, site of many Philippine Opens. Calamba is also an important modern industrial center in the CALABARZON region as shown by the large number of industrial parks and business estates that are located in the city. Calamba City is also the birthplace of José Rizal, the country’s national hero.

Today we celebrate the 147th birthday of Dr. Jose Rizal, our National Hero. Early morning of June 19 all floats are being readied for the coming parade. All the stablishments here in Calamba City, province of Laguna, fully supported the special event.

Not only the commercial establishment joined the parade…all the students of different schools, organizations and the common tao beat the heat of the sun to participate and to join their friends and family at the streets.

The statue of Dr. Jose Rizal at the Rizal Park, Manila carries the inscription
I want to show to those who deprive people the right to love of country, that when we know how to sacrifice ourselves for our duties and convictions, death does not matter if one dies for those one loves – for his country and for others dear to him.

Celebration for Boston Celtics Fans

Game 6 was today…Celtics vs. Lakers! One more win and Boston Celtics will have their 17th NBA Championship. As Basketball loving country I knew that all television set were tuned on this game 6. But for me I won’t be able to watch the live telecast. While I am watching the replay of the game I knew that Celtics won…but I don’t want to miss the euphoria. Before the replay I have already seen the result in the internet and get some pictures. To all the Garnett, Allen and Pierce, to all Celtics fans….Congrats to us.

Happy Fathers Day

Posted in "Fathers Day", Life at its Best, career and family on June 15, 2008 by zethrock

     Today we celebrated Fathers Day…I am one of the proudest father in the world today. All in all, I have 5 children, Jech, OJ, Gray, Vetvet and Botbot.

     Early this morning all my kids greeted me a Happy Fathers Day…never to forget my loving wife, too.

     I also want to thanks all the people who greeted me a very HAPPY FATHERS DAY namely:

Unday, Pholly
Rhian, Mareng Gigi
Sir Franciss, Francis, My Sis-In-Law Cris
Nancy, Sir Sonny, Mariette
Mariel, Sir Ronald, Pareng Menard
Sir Rene, Pareng June, Sir Nong
Jez, Ate Nelly, Alou
Mam Billy
TO ALL THE fATHERS:
Fatherhood is a tough 24 hours JOB, no pay, no day-off,
Weekends are for washing, cleaning, cooking,
breastfeeding. Resignation is impossible….
To the MAN who is loving and caring to his family unconditionally,
who works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
to give the best for them,
who endure all the weather and conditions of the road
to report to work, who evades
all the intangible seductive things around him,
works during the weekends and still manage to travel a long
distance to have a glimpse of the condition of his love ones,
who does the work at home during his rest days to get
what they want from their wife,
who help in doing the assignments and teaching their children
on their subjects.
With all these sacrifices and other things not mentioned,
we are still a suspect of infidelity!
CHEERS TO ALL THE FATHERS!!!
HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

Philippines’ Independence Day

Posted in "Independence Day" on June 12, 2008 by zethrock

The Philippine Declaration of Independence occurred on June 12, 1898 in the Philippines, where Filipino revolutionary forces under General Emilio Aguinaldo (later to become the Philippines’ first Republican President) proclaimed the sovereignty and independence of the Philippine Islands from the colonial rule of Spain after the latter was defeated at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War.
The declaration, however, was not recognized by the United States or Spain, as the Spanish government ceded the Philippines to the United States in the
1898 Treaty of Paris, in consideration for an indemnity for Spanish expenses and assets lost.
While the Philippines first celebrated its
Independence Day on June 12, its independence was only recognized on July 4, 1946 by the United States. Henceforth, Independence Day was observed on July 4, but in the name of nationalism, and upon the advice of historians, Republic Act No. 4166 was signed into law by President Diosdado Macapagal on August 4, 1964, proclaiming June 12, which up to that time had been observed as Flag Day, as Independence Day.

Today as we celebrate our Independence Day numbers of student from elementary and High School of different schools go to streets with a Philippine Flags in their hand. Hand in hand they paraded symbolizing their unity…

PANATANG MAKABAYAN

Original Filipino Edition
Panatang Makabayan, Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas

Ito ang aking lupang sinilangan,
ito ang tahanan ng aking lahi
Ako’y kanyang kinukupkop at tinutulungan
Upang maging malakas, maligaya, at kapaki-pakinabang
